WCOF's Business Seminar Focuses on Promoting and Marketing Your Product or Service Print E-mail

women_in_business_imageThe Woman's Club of Fullerton (WCOF) experienced their latest success with the completion of our first free business workshop designed to help women propel their businesses further by concentrating on sales and promotion strategies.

TWCOF truly believes that an important part of our club is to empower women in every aspect of their lives.  We are proud to have the support of our State and National Federations.  Chris Herzog, State Public Relations Chair states, " This is just what our club members need to know, and the business community, also.  How wonderful it is free!  Congratulations to the Woman's Club of Fullerton for sponsoring this public relations event!"

Led by the WCOF's President and Sales and Marketing consultant, Emily Yost, the twenty plus attendees focused on the importance of image and branding, understanding your competition, lead generation and so much more!  Everyone left with a renewed outlook on their business and a direction to see themselves succeed!

Lee Isaac, Membership Chairman for WCOF and attendee states, "The event was amazing!  This was just what me and my staff needed!"  Attendee, Pearl Bowen states, "Your presentation was amazing!  I will be at your next meeting, and will for sure be joining the Woman's club."  Jennifer Vickrey of JVJ Design said, "The marketing workshop presented by Emily Yost was extremely informative and interactive.  She gave practical solutions to better my business.  Her excitement and commitment in helping businesses succeed was inspiring!  I highly recommend these workshops!"

The next Business seminar, "No Glass Ceiling" is a financial workshop geared at preparing a woman for her financial future.  The workshop will focus on personal finances, saving and investing.  It is scheduled for Saturday, December 15th from 9:30am to 11:30am at the Fullerton Joint Union High School District Office located at 1051 Bastanchury (on the corner of Bastanchury and Euclid in Fullerton.)

Emily Yost has worked in marketing and sales for over a decade helping entertainment professionals and corporations build strong successful brands.  Yost received her BA from Winthrop University in South Carolina.  After graduation, Yost was approached by MTV to move to Los Angeles and work production.  She began her career in Los Angeles working for the mega network in the casting department.  From there, she navigated her way through several other production companies until she landed at AIA Actor’s Studio, where she spent 8 ½ years building the business and promoting the Studio worldwide.  Emily was responsible for bringing known celebrities to the Studio to educate her students.  Some of those industry professionals include:  Kevin Costner, Jason Alexander, Billy Bob Thornton, Michael Bay, Henry Winkler, Lou Diamond Phillips, Wes Craven and so many others.   She is currently the Sales and Marketing Director for Toba Fountains, a new manufacturing company.  She is responsible for taking the product to the 2007 Golden Globe Awards where the product was gifted to celebrities.  In addition, the product is featured on two HGTV shows running currently, “The Outdoor Living Expo 2007” and “I Want That!”  She is proud that the product was just sent to Oprah Winfrey to be a part of Oprah’s next fundraising event.
